the PON light must remain continuously ON for the internet to work. To resolve this, check that the Fiber joint is clean and properly connected, and ensure the Fiber cable at the back of the ONU is not loose. Restart the ONU once and if the issue persists, contact the Wi-Fi Nepal Support Team.

Yes, you can easily connect a secondary wireless router or repeater and enjoy surfing the internet. Connect a LAN cable from the ONU to the router and set it to Access Point (AP) mode. Make sure the LAN indicator light is ON or blinking, which confirms the cable is properly connected.

If the LAN port is not working, it may be due to a loose connection, faulty cable, or configuration issue. To fix this, ensure the LAN cable is securely connected to both the ONU and your device/router, and check whether the LAN indicator light is ON or blinking, if there is no light, try using a different LAN cable. Restart (reboot) the ONU and the connected device, and if available, try connecting to another LAN port on the ONU. Note that sometimes LAN ports don’t work when the port is blocked from the ONU, in which case you can contact the Wi-Fi Nepal Support Team to get it unblocked.

There are various reasons which might affect your internet experience via Wi-Fi, among which the maximum number of devices connected at the same time or real-time bandwidth consumption could be one of the major reasons — all of which can be monitored from the Wi-Fi Nepal app. If multiple or unauthorized devices are connected, you can use the Device/MAC filtering option to secure your network or change your Wi-Fi password directly from the app. Internet slowness can also be caused by longer session time, which can be resolved using the reboot option available in the app. Additionally, latency between devices and the router caused by distance or signal interference may also slow down the internet, and you can check the signal strength by the dBm value displayed in the Wi-Fi Nepal app next to each connected device. To further diagnose signal interference, you can use a Wi-Fi Analyzer (available on Play Store or App Store), or use a secondary router to improve Wi-Fi signal coverage.
